So i found out my head gasket is blown. Now before i start on it, is there anything i should be looking out for? Anything that i should be replacing while everything is ripped apart. Im ordering the Head gasket Kit from NAPA comes with Everything i need to get the job done.

Whats the chances of a head cracking? Its very quiet for a head gasket being blown but the oil is milky and my exhaust smells sweet and white smoke, and spark plugs are white coated. My exhaust manifold is cracked pretty bad so while the Heads are off i was going to replace it.

Just wanting to know if its a hard job and what it all takes? And if there is anything else i should be replacing that does not come with the kit. I have a new thermostat that i will install after.

Chances are you have a cracked head, 2.9s hardly ever blow headgaskets, get the head tested for cracks before you put the motor back together.
