Hazards/Turn Signal/Braking Issues 2000 Ranger XLT 4.0

I recently purchased a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT w/ 4.0. I have had a strange issue and need some help figuring it out.

Whenever I turn my turn signals on, my hazards begin flashing as well as the turn signal however under braking, both stop and the turn signal stays illuminated along with the brake lights. If it helps the inner turn signal arrow on the dash also stays illuminated but dimmed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the ground connection on the rear frame crossmember. Make sure it has a clean, tight connection.

Also, if a DIY or "home made" trailer pigtail has been installed, make sure all wiring connections are tight, clean and corrosion-free.
