whats the job market like for a auto tech? whats the houseing market like? could a student (s) live out there? im asking beacuse me and my buddy are sick of the crap here in colorado and we are wondering what its like there. ive been to maui before and i loved it

The housing market will make you faint. It's a resort town so real estate is some of the highest in the nation. $1000 will only get you a 450 sf studio. But it is Hawaii.

come to the Big Island. You can work on my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT. Minah stuff. Plus housing is cheap over here. Hella lot less than Oahu, Kauai and Maui.

Hawaii apts & jobs.

Been out of the rental mkt for awhile_ expensive rentals.
When I looked last yr, 1 bdrm apt were 1,200. 2 bdrm units were close to $2k.
Don't know about jobs.
What I read is jobs can be hadl but, like the States it's usually part-time.
Chain Stores are beginning to close their doors.
