having some issues with ole 85

okay so im trying to figure out whats up with my truck, some times it runs like a champ then sometimes it dont run at all. for some reason there is something shorting out the entire electrical system, figure oout my solenoid is done. any ideas or issue u all may have experienced please let me kno cause this is confusing me. thanks for yals time.

The entire electrical 'shorting' may be a bad ground connection. The solenoid doesn't (or shouldn't) affect anything once the engine is started.

Check your battery terminals and also check to see how well your alternator is charging.

the alternator is brand new and so is the battery so maybe new terminals and check all my grounds?

Ive seen a brand new battery be junk from the store. A couple of months ago I had to get a new battery and they had one there that was a day used before it went bad. Asked them what was wrong and they said it had 2 CCA.

New or not, I would still test them all to be sure as to rule them out.
