Find some info on wiring up my 4.0. All I need to know is, can I use the old power distribution harness from my 88 b2 and wire it up to the new computer harness?

The 4.0 harness with the fuse box under the hood is shot because of battery Acid

I noticed the alternator plugs go through the firewall on the b2 and the 4.0 alternator wires go right to the battery and comp.

AHHHH i'm confused

lots of work........ Don't you tink it will be easier to find a 4.0L wiring harness from a junkyard?????

I have the Computer Harness just not the one that has the head lights and ABS computer on it. I want to wire the 4.0 Computer Harness to the existing headlight harness.....?????

All can be done. just find the wiring diagrams of the 2 trucks. normally each circuit have the same color of wire throught year. When i have done my swap(put a wiring from a 89 Bronco into a 83 Ranger) all the wire where the same color(ex: bach-up lamp ckt was black/pnk on the 2 wiring) just look carefully onto the 2 wiring diagrams where the wire are plugged. Its not too hard to do.
