Everytime I turn on the TV, there's now some credited doctor that I've never heard of telling the public something bad about a certain food that you and everyone else craves so much, and yet these people still live to be well into their 80's.

Here's one example: I read on MSN that scientist's think there's a connection between grilling and cancer, something about something gets released in to the food that might be related to some cancers.

Now, I think I speak for everyone here who loves good grilled meat products in saying "That's not going to stop me!!"

These doctors and dietitions are trying to scare us out of what we love to eat and drink. If you do both in excess, then yes, there will be problems down the road.

But a man needs to savor the pure, juicy flavor of a fresh porterhouse that has been rubbed down with some Famous Daves dry rub

What else have you guys noticed on the tube that seems to be a little "off"??

pretty much everything causes cancer.. living healthy is just a slow death .. why deprive yourself of tasty things when the health nut will rot in the ground the same way you will

I'd rather live a short enjoyable life than a long miserable one. Bring on the beer and cheeseburgers!!!!! lol

OMG I am going to go bury my head in the sand..... I am actually afraid to leave my house............ that bus on the corner of 52nd and Broadway will never get me ...... mmmuuuuaaaaaahhhhhhh

A friend of my wifes is a health nut and is in the belief that ANYTHING microwaved is bad. For this reason. When you microwave ANYTHING it turns cells inside the substance into cholesterol.

We sent her to http://www.dhmo.org to get her riled up some more. LOL

it seems like everything can cause cancer and birth defects in California. im not going to stop grilling because they THINK that something MIGHT be able to increase cancer risks. sounds like they arent even real sure about it themselves

Thats not even the tip of it. There's always some new chemical or element in all the food we eat that'll take a better part of a week to pronounce that causes some type of ailment and you should take their non FDA approved pills that will help you.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm the type where if I drop a Cheeto on the floor, I still pick it up and eat it. Nothing happened, and I still feel fit as a boxer on Tuesday.

May the good Lord help me if my future wife starts making me eat tofu burgers. Instead of sneaking out to my mistress(which I would never do), I would be sneaking out to a neighbor's cookout for some of the good stuff. Yummy!!

Gasoline

Seems there are tens of MILLIONS of people TOUCHING and indirectly messing around with GASOLINE all the time when filling up their cars, surely breathing those vapors over and over and over and over again while standing there filling the tank can't be good and the residual gas on the pump handle being transformed to your hand/skin can't be good either.

Fact: Gasoline has been proven to cause cancer.

I gues we are all fu#cked!!

i think the news article referrers to meat that is charred black. like chunky flakes of charcoal.

but anything you do has the potential to kill you.

my grandfather lived to be over 90 years old. he smoked since he was 10 years old, and would eat anything you put on his plate. you put a steak down, he would eat it, plus the fat and grissle, and crack open the bones and eat the marrow. steaks, potatoes, eggs, un-pasteurized milk, anything that could be grown on a farm. he stayed in excellent shape, because he was a farm-hand all his life. he once had a tractor roll over on him (remember V-front tire tractors?), covering him in diesel and hot oil. he died because his body gave out from decades of hard work, not cancer or obesity.
