So evidently this car is cursed....

I went friday, pulled the alternator, got it tested and it is fact done for.

Ok cool. No big deal.

Then my buddy sent me this picture...

Evidently it decided to leak all the PS fluid out of what he believes to be the pump. So while the damn thing has sat, not running, for a week, it magically decides to do this.

I mean your leak is WAY worse than mine, the fluid on my '97 is just gross and burnt and my '90 leaks out of the pressure hose at the pump... compared to the oil leaks it used to have this is nothing lol

This went all at once...which...ive never seen. But whatever...maybe the pumps been iffy, i know i had to swerve for a deer once and in the process of switching back it cut out for a second. Not even my RBVs do that.

Anyways...chapter 2,341 of this steaming bullshit saga.....replaced alternator...voltage light still wants to flicker under throttle....and now the volt gauge is reflective of something cause when you drop it in gear, or turn anything on...it drops.

But...the shitty running now happens after you rev it a few times in park...so theres that. It also smells rich at idle. I tapped the EGR with a hammer and it straightened up...but im not sure if thats coincendece or not....guess thats next avenue of attack.

I dont know...im seriously pulling my hair out with this thing. Atleast on my old(er) shit i knew where to start. Im seriously thinking about cutting my losses and offing it....go find me an overpriced 70s rig with a 300 and a4speed that will survive an astroid hit
