Ill try to make this short as possible I have a few wiring questions. I have an 88 ranger and pulled the 4cyl a few years ago. When we did that I completely removed the wiring harness coming from the passenger side along with the computer, i even took the heater box off as well as i wasnt planning on using it. I just wanted a simple carbed 302 and wanted to patch all the holes that were left from everything in the firewall. Now its come time to put the motor in and im thinking about going efi. Question is how do i get all my lights, turn signals etc to work since that harness is now gone or does that not even have anything to do with electronics? Theres also another little harness coming from the drivers side that seems to go to the lights, horn and all that but someone told me i would still need the harness that i pulled from the pass side....doesnt make any sense to me. I have the complete harness for a 5.0 explorer i was planning on using with this truck but would i still need my stock computer or harness for anything? I hate wiring :icon_confused:

If You Still Have The Wiring On The Drivers Side You Should Have The Wiring For Your Lights Horn etc

OK on the passenger side you will have a heater box harness coming out to control your blower motor ect.. Then you will have the hole where your ecm harness goes through which you will use for your new ecm and harness. And on the drivers side you will have your main harness coming out of the firewall with lots of plugs where you splice into your mustang harness to power everything. One of these plugs is where your headlight harness plugs into. i will be glad to answer anymore questions and will go into more detail if needed.
