just wishing you all a happy thanksgiving

Yes, I normally send out a greeting to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving to both Canadians and our brothers and sisters in the USA. This year I think I missed the Canadian side of things because, well, it appears all the turkeys have showed up in Ottawa after our last election...

It's hard to find a good bird...but I hope you enjoy yours...

I didn't know big bird day was celebrated later in the states. Happy BBD ( big bird day ). @Mark_88; at least all the weasels were kicked out of the hen house.

haha...funny you should mention Big Bird...my French Canadian GF (ex) used to make me laugh when she said Birthday...it came out as Bird Day...:icon_rofl:

I still call her up to wish her a Happy Bird Day...but she stopped answering my calls about 20 years ago...:)

I celebrate both :yahoo:

Thanksgiving was last big feast of fresh food before winter set in, shorter growing season up north so happened earlier in the year, October in Canada, Nov. in US.
Now a days, with fresh food available year round, it is moot point but still a great Holiday

Happy Turkey day :icon_thumby:

After getting the Rat fit to run around town. It is now going on a 400 mile trip lugging a 30 inch snowblower I spent an hour topping off all the fluids but the brake and oil. I also shifted the transfer case into 2 high. with the little pair of Visegrips I have clamped on the shifter where the shift motor was originally. It is a minor PITA, but a very positive hack. Anyway I drove it 40 miles to a turkey dinner and the Rat did fine. My son is borrowing the Rat to move to his house out near the NY line. He'll be back with it in a couple weeks.:D

My heart was in my mouth when son called me. Instead of gloom and doom, he reported that he aired up the tires and that there was a 15 psi difference in the front tires. That fixed the wander it had. Same old complaint about the sloppy shifter. :D
