Anyone here ever run the hankook dynapro MT's?

Looking for feedback on wear, balancing, and how they handle rain/snow/ice

Thanks in advance.

Aren't happy with the Falkens enough to buy them again? I've read that they are great in mud and on the street, beating every MT tire out there (GY MTR's, Nitto Trail Graps, even outschooled Pitbull Rockers in the mud but have never tried them.

Plenty happy with the falkens! They've lasted me 45k miles so far and still have 9/32's tread left (just had an oil change, those are the numbers they got)

I am considering them again, well the Rocky Mountains since there cheaper lol. However I'm kinda tempted to go mud terrains so I can do some better snow wheeling this winter. And mudding in the summer.

Just can't decide if I want to give up the long life and great all year traction for it. Kinda why. Wanna know how well the hankooks are in terms of tread life and winter.

Heard mixed reviews from various forums but most are old, or "my buddy has them" etc. an no real legit winter performance reviews. Just the odd "I drove through some snow" lol

i had a set of those on my f150 in 35x12.50....awesome tires, went everywhere wear was good too. not the quietest on the street but its a mud tire...would buy another set for sure.

Cool thanks! Don't care about road noise lol.
I usually got the radio cranked and the windows down anyways.

If you want a mud terrain for daily driving/winter. Super Swamper trXus MT is by far the best you will get. Its the only mud tire that is siped better than most A/T tires from the factory.

Its siped like a Goodyear Duratrac yet has the tread pattern of the Super Swamper LTB. You can pull 35-40k out of them on the road. They are radials as well. No other M/T handles winter conditions anywhere close to the trXus MTs. Check them out.

Yeah I looked into those but heard they can be balancing nightmares with them. And I bet they're pretty pricey to.

I had a set on my rig before, and I got around 40k with regular highway use.

Sounds decent. I'll be getting 5 tires and rotating them all so I should get a bit more life.

I've decided to get these and give them a shot.

I predict that your traction increase over the Falkens will be so dramatic (especially in mud) that you will...:headbang::yahoo::icon_hornsup:

I think the only place ill notice a difference for the good is in deep mud and snow lol.

update time.

Tires were great all winter. the siping helped a lot on ice and packed snow, and in deep snow they are a beast. never let me down.

they are wearing a little faster than the falkens I had. dont have an exact measurement, but maybe 3/4 tread on the rears, and 7/8 on the front. never rotated so thats why the difference. they have now been rotated.

noise is minimal and not an issue, since im straight piped i dont hear em anyways.

MPG loss was 1-2 mpg. not a big deal imo. its a truck. im getting 15 mpg right now. (its winter, always gets worse) i expect to get 16-17 in the summer, MAYBE 18 on a good day.

jumped in some mud today, holy crap they throw mud lol. truck is a mess lets just say that. nothing deep yet since the ground is still frozen.

I was going to ask if you siped yours. My hankook dynapro mt seem to suck on ice but there not siped. I got mine into some deep mud and they just grabbed. They do throw mud all over but they also clean out very well. I've gotten traction in the deep snow where Yokohama geolanders and procomp extreme mt were sliding.

Have you done much side hilling?

update time. raining nicely, making the backroads a mess.

mud time!

got it real dirty this time around. tires are amazing! they pack up when off the throttle and coasting in slick thick black mud/clay. however the second i touch the throttle you see nothing but roost in the rear view mirror. they clean out so well!

by far my favorite tire in the mud thus far.
