hand crank and no compression

Ok, readjusted valves exactly as Ron instructed, put a new compression tester in one of the plug holes, disengaged fuel pump relay and ignition coil primary connector, upper intake and both valve covers removed, turn the ignition key and let the starter crank for about 2 seconds, still no movement on the compression tester gauge. any suggestions? Thank you

Loosened all my adjust nuts and starter cranked it now get readings 120 and 90, I have 2 gauges plugged in, so looks like I adjusted too tight..

Question, can I remove fuel rail and cup fuel injectors in egg crate and starter crank it to confirm all injectors are spraying?

2, can I test spark by pressing spark plug with the bent electrode against engine metal and starter crank, will it produce spark if it's good?

Also, now that I'm wary of overtightening, just to double check, 1.5 turns after zero lash means tighten while using your fingers to spin the pushrod till it's too tight to spin then 1.5 turns? After 1.5 turns if I can hand press down the rocker arm by a little bit is that OK or too loose, ie rocket arms should not move at all. Thank you

Question?

Did you perhaps get Solid Lifters instead of hydraulic?

That would explain the trouble.

When you tighten down the rocker after 0 Lash, does the valve stem go down?
It shouldn't with hydraulic lifters, it will with solid lifters.

And no, on the finger spinning and push rod being 0 lash
0 Lash is when the rocker won't move, won't "rock", so 0 space between valve stem and rocker and 0 space between push rod and rocker, (1/4 turn back and rocker should be loose, gap at valve stem or gap at push rod).
Then you tighten 1.5 turns
You should still be able to turn push rod with fingers after the 1.5 turns

Yeah, I just did exactly what you said to get zero last but then only quarter turn thereafter, I plugged compression tester into each hole and checked reading, most were able to produce 150 psi, couple didn't so I loosened a little to achieve 150, is 150 the right amount? (I don't think I have solid lifters since the new ones look just like the oldones, I autozone vehicle specified the parts, altho I've never seen solid lifters before)
