So the other day i was having trouble timing my truck we figured it was 180 off so we just moved the plug wires thinking that would set it right but we were wrong found out the injectors fire off of the position of the distributor sometimes i think they make these engines only to be worked on by germans there always backwards:icon_rofl:

I wouldn't make fun of the Germans if you Really think Reversing your plug wires is gonna fix your timing issue.

:icon_confused:

how would this be backwards?

since it would make more since to make it easier make it more like a carb maybe have it fire off of the position of something that can't be moved make life easier with timing but thats just me

It's a German designed engine, it has nothing to do with the electronics. Find TDC the first time and you shouldn't have any problems. :dunno: I don't think it's a distributor issue for the 2.9L, but an upper intake plenum design issue. I would bitch at that before bitching about the distributor, or how it's like a small block Chevy, in the back of the engine.
