let me clarify....theres one main road that goes from one end of the island to the other.each of the little villages has a selection of little local roads.none are more than a mile long.
it's about 60 miles from north end to south end.

then theres hundreds of miles of logging roads and trails, but i won't be going on any of those with the gt.

everytime i ask you a question about the island life i hate you a little bit more...

good:D

i know i'm doing my job properly then.

get yer butt up here,we'll do some fishin'n'beachin.

i have this feeling once i go there i wouldn't want to come back

rain an wind an lack of stress are okay by me. its the cold that would get me. not to mention the odd hours of daylight

cold's not too bad here...especially compared to the mainland.it's hovering right around the freezing point right now-snow is rare.

getting dark early in the winter is a pain in the butt, though it's kinda made up for by it being light at 11pm in summer.i like that.:D
you want cold and radical daylight hours talk to mike....brrrrrr:shok:

Ya know gwaii I see you're trying to tell the details of your island but all I'm seeing is "no stress. Blah blah heaven blah blah"

can you tell i like it here:icon_thumby:

biggest problem is employment is scarce.....that's why i just sort of make up a job.there's always something that someone needs done.

Hey Tom, it's not that bad. It's just 6:00, pitch black and -20*C here right now:D

But it's pretty laid back up here too.

i think it hit -20 here once in 1943(ok,maybe more than that...but not much)

i think the laid back bit is just about getting away from the insanity of the city:icon_thumby:

this morning i was driving along the road by the inlet as the sun was coming up,turning the clouds on the horizon bright pink and reflecting off the water-and there was only one thing to spoil the moment....i didn't have my camera with me.
should get another chance tomorrow,though.:icon_thumby:

I love times like that. The one thing no one think about when I tell them about eh short days is we get 2 hours of twilight. The sun silhouettes the mountains and just looks amazing. Really makes me appreciate where I live.
