Ok, my truck stranded me, but not really. The negative terminal (ground wire) broke off, leaving me high and dry, including the little auxillary ground going from the battery terminal to radiator support. That's all fixed up with new ground wire, and terminals. Now for the odd question. I rigged up the other ground wire (the big one) that runs to the frame, to get the truck running. While the little ground wire was broke off, my oil guage read normal. I put the ground wire back on, and now it reads below normal, not by much.
Can someone tell me what's wrong?

thanks

Best thing you could be told to do is get rid of the inferior so called dash guage. That guage is only a switch. Put you a actual oil pressure guage on it and go from there. If that is something you don't want to tackle then take the ground back off the frame and engine and clean them...battery post too.
