Sounds like grinding of metal or hair clippers(buzzing). it happens when I take my foot off the gas pedal and coast with the clutch pedal out. Also some when engaging gears, and when in neutral when I rev the engine or when the rpm's get anywhere above 3000. Its becoming more and more often.
I cant pinpoint where its coming from but it sounds like maybe around the carrier bearing...not sure though, any ideas.

Does it do it when the truck is stopped? If so, not the carrier bearing, if the noise is stopped when the truck is...

Could be unrelated to the clutch/transmission, maybe something in the exhaust system rattling or broken. If it does it stopped, have someone rev the engine up to make the noise, and crawl under for a looksee.

Also pay attention to any noises that occur/change when the clutch goes in or out. My clutch got oil on it and started slipping and got so hot it caused the pressure plate to develop tons of hairline cracks. It made a squeaking/grinding noise when I started and with the clutch out.
