Hey everyone,
Any answers cause I wanted to order today , i had a quick question and please feel free to direct my to a thread with a solid answer. If I get a 2001-2011 Dee zee grille guard for my 1999 ford ranger extended cab since they do not list one for my year ranger. Would it still work? I called them but they could not say for sure =(

it depends where it mounts to

This is what they just sent me for install. Don't know if this helps . It seems similar to mine but I didn't know what fellow ranger owners did when they ordered from Dee zee . I have a picture of a ranger with it mounted, same year as mine

It will probably work, it may just be off a hair. I helped a guy at work mount a guard for a 2010+ F-150 on his 01 the other week. It fits, just some of the anti-bounce brackets didn't quite have anywhere to go.

Also, check your local laws, in a lot of places those little bars across the headlights aren't legal. They are considered an "obstruction".

Where I come from, those are known as damage multipliers :icon_twisted:

Anything is possible I guess with fabrication. It's just the cheap ones on eBay look so ......cheap lol. I kinda like Dee zee or next option is Westin. When you mention off? Is the frame basically the same on all of these rangers. I notice when you remove the front bumper the characteristics seem very similar but some guys are welding too..

Our laws South Florida is not a concern. We got some interesting laws but none that enforce this. [emoji1]

You've got it backwards.. We call them damage multipliers not because they work so well against others, but because they can easily turn a minor collision with small damage into big damage on your vehicle. Instead of getting just a bent bumper, you can easily end up with a damaged grille, headlights, hood, etc when that bar gets pushed back into the front end of your truck. May even tweak the frame depending on how it's mounted.

Oh, and they also kill fuel economy, if you have any interest in that sort of thing.

To be honest the 1990 wrangler I owned before this t-boned a guy that ran a stop sign. I destroyed his focus but barely any damage to the bar similarly design but that could be because this bar was seriously heavy duty. I guess I just liked them cause I have good luck with them so far but I see your point.
