just signed up as a member, though i have used the tech library a couple times before. definately looking forward helping you guys out and sharing tips and ideas. im pretty well mechanically inclined, but have most of my experience working on big trucks. i frequently get frustrated because of working in small spaces in rangers and other smaller vehicles (like the wifes focus).

im just purchasing a 1996 ranger 4L 5spd 4x4 extended cab. 185k. but the body is sound and only some minor rust on the frame. i plan to get under it this summer and paint the frame.

the above truck is replacing a 1994 3L long bed, 5spd 4x4. the 94 had manual hubs and t-case, the new truck has electric 4x4 system. im still a little leary, but the previous owner said it had no troubles.

my truck will be more of a work truck that a 4x4 toy, but i work in the woods so i need the offroad capability.

like i said before looking forward to it. any other users from Maine in here?

I just joined, I'm up in Lewiston.

If you want to go wheeling they just opened a great off road park here in Lewiston.
