Hello all, my name is Drew. I just recently picked up a 1984 Ford Ranger, 2.3L, 5-speed, 4x4 as my tinker project. I am the 3rd owner, and got a good deal on it. It was originally an old man's that bought it brand new in '84. He ended up blowing the head gasket and after replacing the head, timing belt and a few other parts, got sick and unfortunately ended up being put in a home due to his age and health. His son sold it to the guy I bought it from, who wanted to fix it up, but didn't have the time. It sat for a few years before I picked it up. This is my first Ford, and while I am somewhat familiar with 4x4's, this is the first 2.3 I've ever worked on. I will be posting up some pics and plenty of questions in the near future. Glad to be a part of the great ranger station!
Take it easy!
