Yeah, to hell with this. I just wrote a whole thing and the forum totally glitched and said I wasn't logged in, and now the whole thing I wrote is gone. Not a good first impression. So, now instead of my good creative and informative hello... Here's just hello. Now look at 2 pictures out of context with no explanation. I'll talk about them later.

Uhh... Hello by the way. Name's Taper... John Taper

Not only are they illegal in this not too distant future, but imagine how hard it is to find a head for one of these now.

yea, i usually coppy my posts right before i post them just incase but it is well worth being a member on this site because it is full of info and people that have had the same problems as you. so trust me you want to stay on and sorry bout the head man.

I figure I'll probably be sticking around here for the long haul. This is the third ranger I have owned. I really miss my 04' 3.0 manual, short cab/bed 2WD Edge. It was sweet. But I did sell it a couple years later for what I paid for it new, so it wasn't all bad. Had a nice 5,000 dollar rebate and in general, good price on it when I bought it.

I have alot of work to do on this truck I have now. I'll probably be posting alot of pictures, and maybe even some vids. I'm an Auto Tech and hopefully I can contribute some good to this already awesome site. There's alot of info on here. Came in handy when I was looking for interchange parts and such.

And thanks for the tip. I'll be copying before I post now... If I don't forget. Like I just did twice.

Was that a FFV credit or something? Was just curious since there are a lot of FFV's on the showroom floor these days and I happen to like E85 in my Ranger. I really like the 3.0 as well. Can't quite keep up with my wife's passat though:sad:

Welcome BTW. Do they still have spam in the future and have they figured out what it's made out of ??:icon_confused:

Spam is timeless. And they already know what its made of.... Shredded newspaper and wet dog food

i think this guy will fit in:icon_twisted:welcome.

Yes james, it was some sort of ford factory rebate. I also had traded in my 84 1/2 mustang GT 350 for the truck. Ford never had permission from Shelby to make these, so the production run was cut short and they are actually kind of rare. I wish I would never have traded that car. But anyway, the truck was the gunmetal metallic grey (I think that's what it was called) and it had 4.10 gears, so it never had a problem off the line, but the 3.0 just seems to not make very good power.

My friend has an 06' ranger with all the same specs as my 04' except not the edge package and I blow him away after 2nd gear in my CRX all the time... But he keeps tryin.
