I changed the fluids in my recently aquired 2007 Ranger 2wd and noticed there are no grease fittings on the factory ball joints, tie rod ends, or u-joints.
I know the U-joints won't get any fittings until/when I replace them with aftermarket ones but I was wondering if anyone has installed grease fittings on the factory tie rod ends and ball joints?
Or will I just have to consider the factory stuff disposeable/non serviceable and just replace them with aftermarket ones when they wear out?

when i replaced mine i got the regreasable ones.
dunno if that can be done to the non-greseable

factory is all non-serviceable. 4x4's wheel bearings are the same way too.

When it's time for replacement, you can put on serviceable units if you want. Spiicer or Moog are the only ways to go.

I guess it brings you back

I suppose the factory wants these parts to have a limited service life.
The gamble is that you'll run back to the dealer for parts and service when they wear out.
You've got to love planned obsolecense.

Some beg to differ. Some say the non-serviceable parts are more reliable and even I think they are cleaner on the truck....no chance for spitting out grease all over your parts. IDK....I think 110k on the stock tie rods on a lifted truck and 80k on the stock rear ujoint and 110k+ on the stock front ujoint is pretty good.
