I am currently doing a 302 swap with an m5r2 trans, the trans I got is missing a speed sensor and so I am wondering if it would be possible and if so how to hook up a GPS speed sensor to the factory gauge on a 1992 ranger xlt. Any other method of gaining a speed sensor would work too I'm just currently using an app for my speedometer but need a permanent solution.

I believe that Dakota Digital had a unit that is supposed to drive a mechanical speedometer from a digital or GPS signal. I know that something like that exists, but not positive I have the right company.
