Got sent shackles and blocks by mistake- which to use and which to send back?

Used search and read a lot of threads about this but a lot seem to talk about what comes stock on particular models. With a 2000 2WD which would you install? Doing spindles up front. I already ordered 2" longer shocks as if I were using blocks, would I use the same longer shocks for shackles or go back to stock size? Ease of install is important, as I'm a newbie. Not doing serious off roading either- just backroad exploring.
Have some 31s ready to put on when all is said and done, don't know if that affects the decision at all.

And yes, whichever rear option I don't use, I'll send back

You need the longer shocks either way. Both options put more distance between the frame and the axle, and those are the two pieces bridged by a shock.

I would us the shackles and leave the blocks out. The fewer pieces you have between your spring and your axle the more stable and secure everything will be.

But blocks will be much easier and faster to install. Shackles will probably involve a hammer and words your grandma doesn't want you saying.

Can't seem to find any good how-to guides or videos on blocks, and mine seems to be upside down from other photos I see? My U bolts face like a regular U- curve at bottom, studs going up. All the others I see seem to have the Us upside down. Dunno what that's about.
