Is he saying his truck has a 360 that came factory producing 350HP? If so, he's high as a kite. The 360 was the worst FE ever made.

The FE is entirely different from small blocks.

A FE has an intake that will hurt your back lifting it....at it's front is a water connection that goes horizontally right into a fitting on the water pump....the hose would be roughly 2" long.

look at the distributor. if the distributor goes through the intake manifold, its a FE engine. either a 360 or a 390. same block on both of those.

if the distributor doesnt go through the intake manifold, its probably either a windsor block (302, 351W) or a 460. the windsor blocks are 60 degree blocks so they look tiny inside the engine compartment. very narrow with lots of room on each side of the block. 460s are big and have 7 bolts in the valve cover. 351 cleveland has 8 bolts holding the valve covers on. 351 (302) windsor only has 6.

All the V8s are 90*

Just do a search for images of the various V8s and print them to take with you.

Look for a 352 casting number on the driver side front of the block. If its there its either a 352,360, or 390. It might take a little scraping of the crud off and it should be located under the head a few inches.

The FE ford engines have the valve cover half bolted to the intake manifold like our v-6s. The ONLY v-8 engine that does. The FEs header bolts are top and bottom (straight up and down) except for a few weird hi-output models. The windsors and small blocks and 385 series are all straight across. The 335 series (cleveland) are diagonal.
Concidering they are JBA headers my bet is a 351w. Could very well be an M though. FE being the least likely.
