I was rear ended couple years ago. Insurance just replaced the bumper,if I remember right the bumper and installation were around $250 and the guy that did it didn't even pull it into his shop.Just changed it out in about an hour and a half.I've heard as long as the other person is willing to take blame, then it should not be an issue.
Btw, has anyone else been rear ended? Did it do damage to the frame?
And fineline... do you normally see people come in with bent frames, or is the frame setup sturdy enough/is the bumper giving enough?
The frame was inspected and not damaged at all,the gal that hit me was going about 15-20mph
