I just got my Super 6 stage 3 heads along with my Delta cam and JBA headers. MY truck is already in the shop having the machine work done to the engine. I do not know how much HP I will have when its all said and done, but I know it will be a lot better than stock

Don't forget the Smith Brothers longer hardened push rods. Add the Bosch 4 hole fuel injectors. Lifters can be rebuilt way cheaper than new ones-Mizpah Precision Mfg. Remember that is still a Ford head so keep her cool and go oversize on the radiator. There is one rocker arm that is superior -can't remember right off hand. You will notice a big difference when the cam hits its power band.

Delta cams has the lifters for 180.00. The shop that is rebuilding my engine said they will have to measure the length before they buy the rods. I got a real good deal o fuel injectors with a life time warranty.
After the engine is done I am going to have the Tranny rebuilt and then the rear end with a limited slip installed, then a duff tuff 3.5 lift

Screw rebuilding that rear axle, get a junkyard explorer 8.8 31 spline with disc brakes. 9/10 times they are limited slip, and it's going to be stronger than what you have

I did want to get an axle with disks on the back, do I need to get a bigger brake booster, or anything else to use the axle from an Explorer?

No you need the explorers master cylinder and the fittings for the master. Then you need to cut your rangers lines at the master cylinder, and then throw the explorers fittings on your lines and flare them. Lots of threads about it. Really easy, the disk brakes are just a bonus the axle is much stronger. It's a 31 spline axle with axle tubes that are 1/2" bigger. Vs 28 splined ranger axle that probably is open on your ranger.

Another thing you'd need for the swap is 2 passenger side rear brake caliper hoses. Obviously you need the calipers/rotors from the expo.

You need new u-bolts or you can grab u bolts from an f150 with an 8.8.

Do you know how to weld? If not you need to have someone weld new perches on top of the axle and shock mounts onto the axle.

Just Find a how to thread it's not terribly hard to do

I put the Mustang disc brake conversion on my 8.8 ranger and it stops better than it used to.The Explorer conversion is better my parking brake works for crap and there's a lot better aftermarket support for the 31 spline.A lock right is a $100 dollars cheaper way more E-lockers etc. available too.
