just picked up this 6 inch skyjacker kit for $300 it has all the drop brackets, coils, all 4 shocks and new drop pitman arm. but i only want a 4 inch lift
tomorrow im picking up 4inch coils and 4inch explorer lift springs for $100 so if figure i will get about 5-6 inches from the explorer lift leafs so i can ditch my factory block and sit level with the 4 inch coils up front?
and yes eventually i will ditch the radius arm drop brackets and get extended arms
also just ordered the rubber extended brakeline set up(techlibrary) from napa

So if you only wanted 4 inches, why did you get a 6 inch lift?

I say put it on anyways....What's 2 more inches?

The skyjacker kit is a 4"/6" kit.. Drop brackets have two holes, lower is for the 6" but he can use the top hole if he only wants 4"

Intresting, as only one of my brackets had two sets of holes...and the was for the passenger side I beam. We had orginally put it in the last hole, and it caused serious issues...dropped it into the second hole, and all was fine....and mine is a 6 inch lift too..

not all of the kits are 4-6 kits, apparently some are the 6-8, usually the six inch kit with the 8" spring is very alingable

ive seen it go both ways for no apparent reason really

but id just use the 6" springs and call it a day, ur still gonna sit level regardless with the 6" springs in it and exploder 4" rear leafs

Skyjacker 6"springs in the 6" hole is horrible , in the 4" hole it sits ok. Though it sits a little lower in the suspension the the Trailmaster 4" springs in the Trailmaster 4"center hinge drop bracket.

i kinda wish i would have gotten a chance to play with some 6in RBV coils. threw some 4in jeep coils in, and the 4in holes was completely wrong. now the 6in holes are better, but i really need one in the middle. ohh well. i'll screw with it more in the spring

ok guess i should clarify, i dont know how the 6inch will look with 32s,and im not buying new tires, so i picked up the 4inch coils for $50 jsut in case i dont like it, so i have everything to run a 4inch kit or 6, we will see what i choose to run

6" and 32s will look sweet, 4" and ull rub at stuff

i think that also depends on how much and if the fenders are cut. with the rough country, and two different sets of RBV skyjackers coils, i never really had much stuff. more droop than anything. but my front end was pretty light, if a guy had a beefy winch bumper and a winch, it might articulate a bit more better.

thats right, i said more better. and meant it!

ummm i have 32 and no lift right now and it doesnt rub AT ALL EVER. lol
the B3000s have huge wheel wells

ive rubbed 33's on your body style ranger, because even though it says mazda its a ranger, with a 6" lift at full stuff and while turning out wheeling.

sounds like uve already made up ur mind though, so words dont mean anything

sorry wasn't trying to sound like i know everything, i know its a ranger, but the wheel wells are cut differently on the Mazda, they are more square and alittle larger than the rangers.
and no i havent made my mind up, im going to install the 6inch first and if i dont like it then i will drop it down to the 4.

I am staring at them both right now... Don't see much of a difference.:icon_confused:
