Hopefully I'll be Kraft's new electrical mechanic at the Walton factory.

Got called back, have several outstanding recommendations, and a whole lot of motivation.

Wish me luck guys, I go back in on next Wednesday for a one on one interview (phone conference interview was this morning) and then a "black box" test for my skills. Not sure what the test will consist of, but I'm reviewing all of my training and paperwork just in case. I never even studied this hard for a test in college.

Test will most likely consist of basic electrical calculations and theory mixed in with knowledge of testing instruments/functions and the ability to troubleshoot machines ranging from electro-mechanical aspects to reading/troubleshooting/programming PLCs and all input/output equipment. Know this and you're golden. I get a lot of service calls (Westphal & Co. Electric) to commercial and industrial businesses to assess and troubleshoot equipment because of incompitent maintenance techs.

Oh, and being a food processing plant you'll get good brownie points by displaying good hygiene and all things "clean".

Yep, and you'll want to invest in hand lotion. Sounds gay, but you'll be washing your hands down with soap and alcohol dozens of times each day as you handle different equipment. It will dry your hands out. Also, pick up a nice tool lube because you may be required to wipe down and sanitize all of your tools. Oh, and one more thing... you might want to brush up on your spanish! haha. 7 out of 10 factories I've serviced are filled with mexicans.

I hope this one isn't. Not many of them in lower upstate NY.

They don't like the cold and the hillbillies. :D

I live in Wisconsin. Its cold and hillbillyish. lol

I'm just glad to finally be able to call NY cold. It's been in the 40/50's lately, now it's 5. Back to normal! I was starting to worry.

Best of luck Koda. I'm going back to work tomorrow. I've been out since 11/09/11

Good luck. I just had an interview yesterday and got a new job too. It looks like the new year will be starting out well for lots of us.

I studied for my urinalysis test. I passed.
