I don't know about that. When I was doing my exhaust work on my 85 with the 2.8 and I forgot some pieces and had to drive it to the shop with just the cat on and I had to wear ear plugs because it was so freaking loud.

A loud exhaust wont set off a home alarm. A car alarm with a sensitive shock sensor, yes, but a home alarm, no.

My old grand marquis would set off car alarms idling by... the mall was a lot of fun haha! That had a 4.6 in it though, with an H-pipe I made and no mufflers. Talk about bringing nascar home. I ended up putting the biggest mufflers I could find on it about two days later and is was still loud as hell.
