ok, so i've long resisted the google + thing, but i'm starting to resent facebook more and more... things are just... not smooth any more...

how many people actually use google+? other motivation... talking to this girl, she told me to "private mail" her, which seemed a little off... "private mail" and gave me a gmail, email account... so i figured email, so i emailed her from my gmail account (my hotmail account is my full name, and i don't know if she's a stalker or not yet, though based off of what i have seen, might not be a bad thing if she were to stalk me...) and there's a "linked profile" which appears to be a google+ account, which makes me wonder, is sending someone a message on +, called a "private mail"?

I opened an account near the beginning of Google +, but don't keep up with it because nobody is on it.
I play games there occasionally, FB games seem slow probably because half the world is on there playing too.

Interestingly enough, I have an acquaintance who works for Google in a higher level corporate position. When I last saw him I told him I would have NO problem switching to G+ (I have an account that I also started when it first began) if the transition from Fbook was easier. He gave me a serious look and said he'd make sure that would get known.

Not that any immediate changes will happen, but we all know how difficult it would be to move all of your photos and contacts from Fbook to Google. That's my only hesitance (and everyone is on Facebook yarg)

I signed up for it about a month ago...still haven't really had time to see what it can do...FB is getting too slow and I hate commercials between new games....

i hate almost everything to do with facebook, including many of the people i have listed as friends, but feel socially obligated to not delete them...

I always wished. When you de-friend or reject a request that they would get an E-mail that said that so and so does not wanna be your friend. Lol.

I have a google + and Facebook. Haven't been on either for months. Once I figure a quick easy way to get my pictures from both accounts and save them to my computer I will be deleting both. Decided since I'm not social I don't need to be involved in social networking anymore.

The things a company will do to raise profits....

I have been on face book for years but just with my screen name. Same with google plus..and even then I only check every few months

Being social online is not being social...
But then I'm anti social...how do we do a web site promoting that?

I started on FB about five years ago to keep in touch with my nieces...but they have since moved on...

When I was doing business courses recently they were big on FB and other social media...like Twitter...so far...these have proved to be duds...almost complete waste of time and engergy...not to mention annoying when you are expecting a customer to contact you and you get a FB message saying "FB user posted a new profile picture..."

It took me quite a bit of farting around with the settings to finally shut down the noise from FB...and I get more business from referrals than anything else...

Yeah, um, MySpace enternexus and Nexopia all predate Facebook... Facebook is far from the oldest social network site...

MySpace is available in 15 languages, and was founded in 2003, nexopia/enternexus also started in 2003... Facebook was 2004

You mean buying shares in FB? That would be a gamble with real money...I tried to buy some shares with Farm Cash but at the end of the transaction I got a pop up saying I didn't have enough and would I like to buy more...

As for an anti-social web site...try a few of the other Ranger forums...some of them I hear can be brutal and are very anti-social...

I signed up for Google+ but haven't spent much time on there since...I'm still trying to figure out why when I have two gmail profiles open and I sign out of one the other one shuts down even if I opened it first...I would think that it would at least allow me to continue with the original account after closing the second one...but NOOOOOOoooooooo...

Maybe I should start a third gmail account...and call it GeeeeMale@gmail
