My BII lived a good life for the past 5 years, unfortunately, it was starting to rust so bad it was tearing apart at the seams, PS pump went out, all the body mounts where shot, and finally locked the tranny up, so it was time for her to go. It knew it was it's time cause I couldn't hardly get it started to get it into the shop to junk it.

Out with the old:

Planning to run it the way it sits, stock on 33's for now. I have all the parts to swap in a TBI350/TH350/203-205 doubler with D60/D70 combo. Probably going to take my time and do it right the first time. Should be fun!

Man, a Toyota with two Case IH's, can't get much worse of a picture than that :D

Good luck with the new truck, looks like it has promise. :icon_thumby:

if that thing has the 22re engine in it just keep it full of oil and the dam thing will run forever..
i'm not gonna flame for not being a ford product anymore if it runs it's all good...my $.o2 :icon_cheers:

Wait a second.. You thought the B2 had more rust than the toyota in that pic?!?

Meh. I have a Nissan in my yard. It's in the yard for a reason.

Too much rust, tires are bad, alternators bad, brakes are bad, transmissions bad, and the axle is bad. And did I mention that the frame rusted so much that it's welded back together?

Only 50 thousand miles on it too! Worst four thousand dollars my brother ever spent. He drives an 02 Ranger now.

Nice 'yota though I guess.. how's the frame look?

I finally killed my b2s body AND engine this weekend. I figured out the hard way that sometimes a GOOD looking vehicle really is a death trap. The seems on my b2s floor are failing terribly and the majority of the roof/windows is resting on the hatch. The front body mounts are beat etc. soooo when you parting with yours Justin? I need a donor!

oh boy i want to see pics:D

The BII had a bunch of bondo and fiberglass holding things together and they just gave it a decent paint job to cover it. The firewall was literally ripping apart at the seams and rusted through in several places. The floorboards where patched in several places too. When I took the sawzall to the fenders, half the fender just fell on the floor. It looked more solid than what it really was.

The 'Yota's frame is solid, doesn't show any signs of rusting through or weakness right behind the cab, where they are notorious for splitting through. The firewall and floorboards are solid, so really it looks worse than it is. Its got a V6 with 235K on it and a rebuilt auto tranny with 79K on it, so I'm not sure how long I'm going to run with the 'Yota stuff in there. It runs good, but has a lifter tick. I'll have to wheel it a little bit and see how it holds up before I get too many plans for the truck.

BTW - I'm not giving up on Fords, on still have these:

As soon as you buy me another 4WD suv that can get 21+mpg...

So apparently I am keeping it for a while.

Still...it sucks to see another RBV given up on for a Yota or Heep. I see it every day and it brings tears to my eyes.

Don't get me wrong I really liked this BII, especially for the fact that there isn't many of them running around on the trails here, but it was time for it to go.

If I could have found another BII I would have built another, but I wheel what I can find for cheap. I don't care what brand it is, as long as it has a good starting platform and is $500 and under, I'll consider wheeling it.
