I want to get this out of the way before there is any flaming: I will be purchasing some nice 33" x 13.5" ltbs for my mud tires.

I was thinking about getting some 20" rims for my truck. Now these would more then likely be wrapped around some 33" bfg a/t. What brand of rims would have 20" rims that can get the piss mobbed out of them and not bend? I like to drive fast off-road and don't always want to change my tires to off-road. :dunno:

I guess I forgot to mention that I understand the trade-offs of a larger rim, but if you have some insight as to what aspect ratio would be most optimal or a minimum that would also be helpful. I am trying to spruce up my truck because I would like my truck to look good at a distance, but when the look up close they can see that it is beat up. That way I can tell the truck's off-road stories!

Stock steelies are tough as nails!

Not to hijack your thread, but what are the trade-off of having a larger/smaller rim?

And would my 3.0 V6 be sluggish if I ran 32's? What about 33's?

Again, sorry for the hijacking. I'm just hoping to get these answered real quick without taking up forum space.

no your 3.0 V6 wont be sluggish my 2.3L 4-banger isnt sluggish with 33's....

I would not put 20 inch rims wrapped in 33's, I have 17 inch rims and I have them wrapped in 33 inch A/T's.

Suggestion what you should do, get 17-18" pro-comp steel wheels and wrap them either in 35" if you have the room or put on 33".

depends on your gearing. you have an automatic, id assume it'd be sluggish. im running 30's and 3.73's and its alright any bigger and it would be barely bareable.
