As much as I'd love a rack and pinion, 4x4 and twin I beam makes that no bueno.

My current box is really sloppy, and judging by the binding I get, it has already been tightened... maybe too much.

Looking for a good replacement. My experience with reman steering boxes has been awful. None of them... not even AGM have come close to being satisfactory. Does anyone make a decent box?

I'm wondering this as well, and having done some research, I think the answer sadly is no.

I think the fix is a saginaw conversion.

Would you happen to know which one is OEM? And would it be different between the 3.0L and the 4.0L?

Does the 94 run the same boxes as the early rangers? My 86 took the same box as the f150-350 big trucks through 1995. There is a company called red-head that rebuilds those boxes that everyone likes. But they are not cheap.

Here's a link. https://redheadsteeringgears.com/
