Good Ranger parts sources?

Autozone brake pads, shoes and calipers carry a “lifetime” warranty which is “as long as you own the vehicle…”

Does that include wear of the brakes? As in when my brakes wear out I get a new set for free?

Yes. I couldn’t tell you how many sets of pads and shoes and calipers I’ve swapped out over the years. All of their “lifetime” stuff is that, as long as you own it. Most of my vehicles are half lifetime warrantied… if they would only offer that for engines, transmissions and body parts…. :icon_rofl:

I took a muffler back to them. They looked at the receipt, gave me a new muffler but would not give me back the receipt. They said is was a lifetime "replacement" not lifetime "replacements". That was a long time ago, so not sure what their stance is on it now.

I’ve honestly never had a problem like that and I’ve dealt with a bunch of different stores.

The real problem was a couple years ago now. I had to warranty an alternator that was 10 years old. They found the old one and for whatever reason the price had changed and when the guy rang it through for the swap, the computer told him to give me the alternator and $40. Both the manager and the store manager scratched their heads and said well, we can’t try to change it now and if we don’t give him the money the drawer will be off. I dunno what happened but I walked out with an alternator and more money than I had gone in with, which was a blessing because my wallet was pretty thin at the time… that turned into gas money to get me home…

detroit axle. formerly dearborn axle.

That's why I make digital copies and never bring the original with me to the store.

The best Ranger parts source... is an Explorer. :icon_welder:
