i looking to buy these from a guy who told me he was selling a set of tires and i would like to know if this a good buy or not???

Off 93 ford explorer 4x4. Aluminum american racing style rims in good condition, painted black, have some chiped spots.Yokahama Geolander A/T size 31x10.5-R15 have about 40% tread, still have nice side tread.tires are a little older but hold air and have plenty life left. $80

If you like the rims, that's a good price for them(assuming you get all 4). I would be weary of buying old tires. Tires don't last forever...even tires that look brand new and have never been used, if 10 or 12 years old, are exponentially more likely to blow out than say a 3 year old tire with half tread.

If it 80 bucks for the whole shebang you can take em and pitch the tires. $20 each for rims is killer.

ok , i just needed the tire not the rims and i have like 2 set of rims for my ranger and a 3rd set would be a waste so i was goin to post the rims up for sale when i got them and just use the tire...

those are Yokohama Geolander AT2. I had a set on my Suburban. those are between 3 and 5 years old and if they are 40% tread all the way around (like they have been rotated and not abused) they are between 20,XXX and 30,XXX miles.

but they are atleast 3 years old because yoko quit the AT2 3 years ago.

if they are pre AT2 then they are atleast 5 years old

the treadblock on the shoulder suggests AT2
