Good but cheep cold air intake

Ummm....wut? Turbo lag measured in minutes?
It’s like built in traction control through first and second gear... the boost catches up by 3rd gear.

I pulled the intake tube off the throttle body of my 3.0 and measured the ID. It’s 2-3/16”. The throttle plate looks to be 2”, minus the plate and shaft. I doubt the plenum behind it is any bigger.

A 3” pipe on the 3.0 is like a firehose aimed at a teacup.

If you want to see if you have restricted air flow then get a Vacuum gauge and a length of correct size vacuum hose and run it into the cab from intake vacuum port
E-brake cable hole is a good place

Find a straight stretch of road long enough for Wide Open Throttle(WOT) runs, without getting a ticket, lol

You want to see 1" to 1.5" of vacuum at full load WOT, when it drops under 1" valves are most likely starting to float on most engines, so you would notice power drop off
On some engines you can keep power down to 0" of vacuum, air/fuel mix is still "flowing" into cylinders just not very well

If vacuum stays above 2" then air flow is restricted, anything under 2" is OK
