Im going to my local track up here in north texas at kenedale speed way. its an 1/8 mile track and im going to run my truck since all my other friends are running theirs. my friends truck include an 05 dodge 1500 single cab short bed 4x4 hemi, a new looking colorado 3.5l inline 5 engine ( i think) 2wd with 3.83 limited slip, 2006 chevy 1500 extended cab with a 4.8l 4l60 tranny, shortys, intake and under drive pully. i am really just trying to beat the colorado and 1500 chevy but i will see since the 1500 has pretty good top end and the colorado is pretty quick as well. my truck is a 2002 ranger 4.0l auto with 4.10s open, extended cab 4x4 bone stock. it is actually pretty decent on speed and impresses my friends for being stock. the only thing is the lame 93 speed limiter but i bought my friends super chip 1865 to remove that and add a few extra ft/lbs of torque. Does any one have any ideas what my truck will run? i am going to shed a few pounds before i race like removing the spare tire, take out the jack, clean out my truck and wash it up and run with a little less than half a tank. i am going to air up my front tires to 40 and bring my back ones down to 35 (i have 245 75 16 bf goodrich long trails) because apparently it helps with traction. anyways its my first time at the track and i just want to know if anyone has any ideas what i might run and if their is anything i can do to bring my time down even a little i would appreciate that a lot!! any questions let me know!
