Howdy All,

I have a Moto Horn that I'm going to install next weekend (planning stages now). I am trying to remove the radiator support access cover as per the instructions in THIS ARTICLE, but I'm having some trouble. I removed all the push-pins and the T30 screws but for some reason I can't get the Cover to pop out. Seems to be held in place somehow towards the front of the Cover - ?

Questions: What's the trick to remove that cover?

Is there another way to access the factory horn wires (Where IS the horn located on a 2023?)? I need to be able to tie into the factory horn wires.

Thoughts?

Gonna take some digging..

Do I need to remove the Grill to access that? Can't tell with that general image...

I'm not entirely sure.. gave up the ranger for a bronco a while back.

After a quick look on Google.. seems like your going to need to remove the bumper to get super easy access

I was able to see the horn assembly and connector by removing the front 4x4 skid plate, and looking from below the truck. The problem still is that while I can see it clearly, I am unable to access the connector and wires enough to tie into them.

So, I have decided to wire the Moto Horn to an independent Momentary switch that I can place somewhere on the dash, or maybe the steering column -???

I'll have to take a good look, but accessing those factory wires would entail disassembling that whole front end, which I'm not going to do.

Ive found it easier to just do it off a separate switch & wiring. And with a dixie horn use a switch (toggle or push-pull) instead of a button, otherwise you have to hold the button for all the notes, theres not a latching relay.

Some questions for the Hive:

1) What is the thread type for the Engine Cover Mount? I can probably use this to mount the Horn. (see pic)
