title says it...

I gonna be lifting my 92 3.0 2wd and am looking into parts

I wana get 4x4 rear blocks
1) What are the bolt sizes to take the u bolts off?
2) Any specific year to look for or are they all the same? I'm looking for a 2.5 inch block

I wana get 4x4 front coils
1) Any specific year ranger any I looking for?
2) What do I have to do to get them out? If I find good ones...if not, ill buy new

Also looking for fogs lights and a shifter...

Actually I think that 4wd coils are smaller than the 2wd ones. The lift comes from the spindles and such I believe. Grab some F-150 coils instead.

^^ f150 coils are going to ride like a brick esp in a 3.0 buy come coil spacers or lift coils

I wanted to do the same thing with my old ranger back in the day. I was told that there is no difference between the coils from a 4x4 and the coils in the 2x4.

So naturally I tried the coil spacers. Even a 2" spacer made a marginal difference.

I realize you're probably working on a budget, but when I was looking, I found many many lift kits from Superlift for the 2x4 ranger. From 2" lift all the way up to 6". Don't quote me on that until you look though...it's been 7 years since i've looked that up. :icon_confused:

Good luck with the lift though dude.

ALL the lift in the front of a 1983-97 Ranger 4x4 comes from the different relationship between the Beams and the steering knuckle.

Even the front shocks are the same.

In the rear you will also need shocks as the 4x4 rear shocks are longer.

To get the U-bolts and blocks you will need an 18mm deep socket
I strongly recommend 1/2" drive and a can of your favorite penetrating oil.
