Going electric....

That old Remington almost (remember I said almost ) kinda sorta looks like an electric vibrator !!!

As long as it's not a Gillette product!

My Gillette Fusion is the best razor I've ever had but their boys-will-be-boys ad pissed me off.
I wish I'd learned to use a straight razor while I was young and had 20-20 vision, every time I find a razor I like it gets discontinued.

Get a nice double edge handle, there are lots of nice ones on the web. It just takes a little different touch, you need to move it slower. The brush and real shave cream is nice too.

Then you can ditch the Gillette products. Heck, I stopped using Ivory soap since it's a P&G product.

What's wrong eith Gillette and/or Proctor&Gamble products?

Yeah, things that never happened!

When I looked at the price of modern multi-edge razors, I switched to an old-style double edge razor. Been using it for years. You can get packs of 100 blades for cheap
- they aren’t the best, but I keep some better quality ones around for when it matters.

It rarely matters. 😠
Last year I tried a bunch of different ones when Gillette got too pricey and started a war on straight men. I settled on Harry's from Walmart. A refill lasts me two weeks. Also got an old-school double edge razor and Astra blades on Amazon, you get 100 for about $8. I just use it on weekends when it doesn't matter if I cut myself. I get one shave out of a blade and that's when I flip it over for the third pass (one up, one down, one sideways). Tried the soap cake and brush for lather but it's not as slick as Edge and I cut the hell out of my face every time.

Tossed every Gilette product in the house as soon as I watched it.

What, I thought it was funny? You see that ginger kid getting his ass kicked!? :icon_rofl:

The commerical was for soup or something right?

Whoa. I only watched 27 seconds. Didn't want to give them the viewcount. Why would you do that to your clientel?

Man I get a week or two out of a blade. You gotta use ‘em differently than a modern razor.

Because they're idiots? I substitute the straight razor with dollar shave club.

Parts of me I'd never shave with a blade. May alter too much with a slip.

Nipples don't grow back...

If I use it again the next day I can feel how dull it is and I cut myself all over. Whiskers on my face aren't that heavy but they are on my neck.

I buy my Fusion blades in a 16 pack at BJ's when they have a $10 off coupon and can often use one for a month before it starts getting dull. I started shaving at 12 years old and don't enjoy it or want to spend longer on it that I have to, I shave at least every other day because I'm old enough to realize a man with stubble looks dirty. Their obnoxious, preachy, condescending ad still pissed me off,I don't treat women that way.
