I am in the process of putting a 302 w/T-5 in my 92 super cab Ranger. Just to make everyone happy(in my family, that is) I have decided to put in bucket seats just to make room for the shifter.

My question is, what brand or type(ex. Ford van, truck, car, etc.) of seats would work best with as little modding as possible in the truck.

P.S. Also at a low price would be good, too.

Does that truck have a bench seat of the 60/40 seats? I'm asking because I cut my driver's seat in my '94 Ranger down Wednesday and it wasn't hard at all. It looks great, considering my old abused seats weren't very pretty in the first place. I carefully folded and tucked the extra material under the cushion, which is OK for now, but I will eventually get some seat covers. Anyway, if you have a bench seat I have typed all of this for nothing.

Oh yeah, the cost is FREE the way I did it.

I had the 60/40 seats and I did the 60/40 to 40/40 conversion and it worked great the only thing I did not like was the extra cloth. so I went to my local junk yard and found a explorer sport with the same color and same pattern seats as I have in my ranger so I just took off the bottom cloth on the explorer and put it on the seat I did the conversion and put the new cloth on and no more extra cloth! But any seat out of an explorer or explorer sport or a Mazda Navajo will if in your ranger you just have to use the rails from the ranger!

Here is a link to more seats that can fit in to your ranger

It looks like your truck is a supercab, correct? If so, first gen (91-94) explorer seats will bolt right in. 2nd gen seats will too, but you'll have to use the ranger's tracks.

I used mustang seats in my 88. Swapped tracks. It was easy.. The holes are already there for the new bolts, but no threads,, lol So i just took an impact to them and it worked fine

hey dont forget about broncoII seats. that is what my trcuk had in them when I got it. Plus I think the pass side slides farther forward then ranger seats do. but not sure.

the escort seats i put in mine were very simple it took me all of an hour to put them in and it only cost me 65 bucks for the seats and rails.

You are a type-A personality, aren't you. :icon_rofl:

it was the,, should i go find some random size tap that no one in this hemisphere has.,.. or just make the regular bolts "Self Tapping"... iu just figure with enough ft lbs every bolt is self tapping

I used exploder seats, direct bolt in with no fitment issues. 4 bolts I was done. Instant leather buckets.
