Another feature GM has is on their trucks, its a heated/air conditioned tail gate, so your hands don't get cold pushing it in the winter and hot in the summer.

They are pretty damn ugly. I'd do the same thing.

The On-Star feature is actually nice to have when its needed. But other than that, GM doesn't seem to build very well built vehicles. I will ament, they have gotten better than the past few year models. But my old 96' Ranger is still running strong and doesn't miss a beat. Too bad I can't say the same for GM's models.

On-Star replaced orange triangles and send help signs which came as standard equipment on GM vehicles.

I rented a Cobalt over the weekend. No cruise, no power anything except brakes and steering. The accelerator pedal is so close to the console that you can't help resting you leg against it. Now my leg is sore. It did get over 30mpg however. :)shady

Haha, that's good. I actually wanted an Aztec when they first came out. I don't know what the hell I was thinking then. The OnStar is still a good useful system for roadside emergencies or directions when you don't know where the hell you are. I live on a gravel road and the TomTom didn't recognize it but a friend with OnStar tried it and they knew exactly where he was.

Your right, what was i thinking.....

The Aztec was one of those cars that got thrown out there to see how well it would sell. Good intentions, and considered nice and family oriented/rugged by some. This is when
SUV's began popping up like daisies and our economy/public was eating it up. The AMC Gremlin was ugly by many and didn't greatly sell, but now drivers love em for wheel stand competitions. Short wheel base and RWD. Mmmm....

Sorry but I'm a timken bearing follower and have no opinion of skf or ntn fanatics. WTF? The world will be a better place when the last Aztek meets a similar fate.

While you are on the subject of Onstar.
My buddy sent a text message to my phone and put this...
"I need help! I locked my keys in my truck, the windows are down and it's starting to rain. I really need to get my keys out so I can roll my windows up."
Knowing he drives a Suburban and it does have the Onstar feature I call his phone and leave a message (because I have no clue how to text message). This is what I left him....Hey I called Onstar and I told them what your problem was and they are going to roll your windows up for you, so you are OK the inside won't get wet. Hope you can get your keys out soon.
