ok so I thought it would be easy. I could not tell which wire was the right wire to hook into from the headlight knob on dash. I am thinking to just hook the power up to the radio power feed but I would really like the lights to come on with the dash lights and not be a seperate switch.
Any ideas anyone?

never mind, it was easy! Guess I just had to think it through. I ended up using the wires that illuminate the dash area where the heater/ ac controls are. In the middle of the unit towards the bottom is 2 wires going into a connector. a power and a ground. it doesn't get much simpler than that.
While I was at it I added under the dash lights that are blue and will match the glow gauges- I have them tucked up under the dash to illuminate the floor at night. I hope they aren't that bright and if they are I will splice a toggle switch in to turn them on or off.

I will post a pic later once it gets dark.

I tried gauge overlays on one of my old Rangers and it worked great for two months. Then they started to bubble and lift just enough to rub against the needles causing the needles to stick or stop. Installed in the spring and it was fine. Summer heat I think killed mine. So keep an eye out for that!

I just read the same thing from another person. Will keep an eye out for it though. Thanks
