I'm sick of my redneck-rigged exhaust.
I've been looking alot at the Gibson swept side exhaust for my 2.3. I dont expect my 2.3 to sound any certain way. I just want to hear some imput. It's a cat-back kit, 2.5 inch stainless or aluminized, with gibson superflow muffler. $312.47 for aluminized, $422.75 for stainless. But I dont have a Catalytic anyway so i would just put in some strait pipe to fill the missing length.

Any imput is greatly appreciated. If you own it personally, what do you think, is it worth it?

2.5" is really too big for a 2.3 especially with no cat. I've had Gibson exhaust systems and they are nice, but not worth the price in my opinion. I would recommend a Dynomax cat back for your truck. It has 2.25" pipes and is less than half the price of the Gibson. There kits are of good quality also, I had one on my last truck. Here a link to one on Summit:

They actually have a $30 rebate on them right now too, so that would be like getting the system for only $120! You can't beat that. Use that extra $30 for a nice stainless tip or something.

Ya i figured 2.5 was a bit bigger than useful. I might just go to pacific steel and get some pipe and draw up a design. I want to make them hug the bottom of the bed, and come out through holes in a new roll pan on either side of the liscense plate. About a foot in from the sides. Thanks guys
