Today i pulled the 2.3. Before long it will have a 351W.

I have had a couple of 302 rangers, be interesting to see or feel the difference if any.

I'll put some pics up when i get some extra time.

There is a good difference, especially in the torque department.

I'm in the same boat, v8. The 306 is coming out and the big bad W is going in. My C4 is leaking like crazy so, I'll likely do a budget rebuild on it and reinstall it with the new motor. Are you going auto or are you going with a manual trans? I have a T5 sitting here that was in a 300ZX twin turbo. I wonder if I could get away with changing the bell housing to a 5.0L Mustang bell? Any thoughts?

Phil

Hey Phil,
It's been a while since i talked to you. I am going to use a auto tranny.

As far as changing the bell housing i dont see why you could'nt if they have removable bells.

You still planning on using cleveland heads?

i have a pair aussie heads if you need those. also have a crap load of clevelang parts.

Swapping out the oil pan i realized i had a high volume oil pump. It was hitting the pan so i had to get a regular pump. So hopefully after work on saturday i can get around to putting the engine in.

Nah I'm going to use the Windsor heads I ported out. I can get as much power out of those heads and still retain some streetability. Even though the thought of a Cleveland headed W stroker is cool, I just don't have the $$ to make the Clevor happen this year. The cost of the pistons was downright obscene!

Today i got the engine all bolted up. Put my headers on. I'll post a pic of the pass side, talk about close. All i need to do is the small stuff now. I was wanting to get it done before snow flies, that's not going to happen since they are calling for snow flurries tomorrow.

You're not going to let a little snow put a crimp in your little plan are you? Slam it in there already LOL. PIX PIX PIX! Hang in ther Brian, you'll be burnin rubber in no time.

Phil

I have to get a fuel cell before i can go much farther. I am going to put the battery and fuel cell in the bed for better weight transfer. Also the exhaust will be easier with the tank removed. This spring i'll be putting a ladder bar setup in it. (i hope)

I am waiting for a fuel cell. My cousins race circle track in Mi. i am hoping to be able to get one from them cheap.
I wanted to show you guys what i made for a engine dolly. It started as a Dixon ZTR lawn mower. It may look goofy but it sure made it easier to move the engine around. Also it made for a good laugh when my friends saw it.
