Georgia Snow

Well in my area of Georgia we got 3" of snow. The most I have ever seen was 2" when I was in 4th grade. Its gonna be 20 something tonight, so everything is gonna freeze.

Wild ain't it? I have about 4" here in Douglasville and I believe the roads will be solid ice in a few hours. I'm staying put in the skippy cave this weekend,but i'll watch the local news in the am hours tommorrow for the ice follies.

They said it was a fast moving storm,lasted about 8 hours here. I got cut loose early from work and Had no trouble getting home,but rush hour around Atlanta was hell few hours later. I was working on air conditioning for my last call.

My step mom is working night shift at the local police department dispatching. Her shift ends at 6am so I dont know if she'll be making it. Close to my dad's house a truck went into the ditch and hit a tree.

If we even get .5" school gets closed.

Our schools were closed for the day in anticipation of snow. In Carroll county a veteran law enforcement officer lost his life when his patrol car skidded off the road into the water. Prayers out to the family of deputy Crawford and the Carroll county sheriffs department.

I'm iced in,no way to get up the hill and out of the subdivision.

I left Iowa in 1974 to get away from it and have stayed in warm climates since. You should see local news here after one of these events,it's comical as hell except when someone loses their life. If it would snow at Christmas I'd be ok with it.

I actually wouldnt mind living up north with the snow, but then the cold gets annoying to me because I cant get anything done. I just walked outside and everything is starting to melt. But the ice that hasnt been touched by the sun is still frozen.

Statesboro is on the opposite side of the state from where I am.

Yea its kinda nice for a change of scenery. We got 4" in Athens and about the same in Gwinnett county. But remember last year 1st of March? That was nuts, 6"+

Yea I remember that. I dont remember how much I got though. It melted the same day.
