Gen III hood vs. Gen IV hood.

Alright so this is just a random question. I searched a bit on here and didn't find much about it.

Will a generation 4 ranger hood fit onto a gen 3?

sure, but the front edge won't line up with your grill.

Meaning I would have a gap?
Maybe I should just keep on trying to find a used cowl hood for my gen..

Yeah there would be a gap where the hood meets the grill, etc. I have heard however that you may be able to replace the grill/rad support with a later one and switch over the front clip along with the hood, head lights, etc. This way you could have the good looks and TTB?

I was only gonna do it because my hoods got some rust on it, and I found a gen IV hood for a good price. I'll keep looking I guess.
