Gen 4 Cab on Gen 3 Frame

Is there any dimensional differences in a Gen 4 ('98-'00) 4 door extended cab than a Gen 3 cab ('93-'97) 2 door extended cab?

The reason I ask is, I am looking at a '94 Ranger that needs some body work on the cab. If I get it, I want to put a newer 4 door extended cab in place of the 2 door extended cab. That would be the best Ranger all around, 4 door extended cab with 4.0, 5 speed, and TTB front axle.

If I do this, I would keep the '94 style dash.

I don't want it back anymore. The more I thought about it the more I decided against it.

I know the regular cabs gained about 3 inches in 98+ body style. But If I remember correctly, the extended cabs of 93-97 were 125ish". And my owners manual says my truck (2005 Ranger Xcab) is 125.7". I would ask around and see if members close to you would be willing to meet up so you can take some measurements.

I don't think the extended cab 4 doors got any bigger than the 2 door extended cab. I do know that the regular cab got 3" bigger.

I might have to do some measuring on a buddies '02 4 door.

you can always move the cab mounts around a little bit as long as the bed lines up and everything
