i almost have the mirror assembly out of my 87 b2. but there is a bolt on the bottom of the door that i cannot get out. they call it a nut and washer assembly. anyways it just spins and spins and wont actually loosen because the other side is spinning with it but the inside is just rounded off so i cant put a wrench on it. i need this out,

its identical to the one on the window track. its just like the one on the bottom called nut and washer

did vise grips. pliers even tried using a wedging tool to stick under it and lift up to try and stop it from moving. didnt work.

If all else fails, try to get a dremel or some sort of small cutting wheel or saw in there to cut the bolt off, replace the nut and bolt and you'll be good to go.

yeah i can cut it but i was hoping for an easier remedy because i need to get another from a wreckers and you cant bring power tools in.
