Gen 1 full door panels.

I don't know of anyplace that sells them aftermarket, or NOS. I was looking for a pair as well until very recently. Had never seen them with the exception of a few pictures on here, and was hunting for a blue set. Don't know how many red, tan and brown sets passed through eBay and at a very high price, but eventually those all but disappeared as well with a single panel being sold here or there. I know they were made in blue, saw one listed on occasion, but never a pair (even listed separate at same time). Gave up on getting blue. Gave up on getting a set period, but got lucky with a red set off a fellow forum member, planning to have them recovered by a local shop. My suggestion would be to hit up local yards, and watch the forums for people parting out a first gen and ask about the panels. May not find black but if you find a set you could always have them recovered or die them black.

Black interiors are pretty rare, and then the full door panels are pretty rare on top of that.

I do know you can get the vinyl door panels new in black from LMC truck though.

Thanks guys, I have been looking for a few months and the link is the only one I have found that is new or looks decent, and that is only one panel. I know black would be a VERY long shot but any color would be great, like you said I could always have them recovered or dyed.

I didn't know my door panels were that rare (blue), and I was just gonna' throw them away.

Eventually, I want to make some brushed aluminum panels......It's on the list of shit to do.

How close to Sac are you?

Oh dear god... the painted door sill gets hot enough. :icon_surprised:
Meh, I'm a welder, you don't know what hot is until you lay your arm on a freshly welded seem.
Got it covered, I take the doors off when it gets hot.:icon_thumby:

I had Brushed aluminum panels in my Baja Bug, they don't get that hot.

Just get any color panels and paint them. Did mine 2 years ago and they still look good.
