I think you should NEVER drive it on wet streets! Never, never, never! What in the world were you thinking? Oh yeah. what about dusty roads? You have put that opening right square in the dustyest, wetest place on a vehicle!

what not to do with left over plumbing parts, that is definitly the worst place, u'll suck up anything u drive over, if any thing, use the hole were the original air intake was fed from, but make it so air flows better

Nice downgrade. :icon_thumby:

i also used the original tube i took that tube out shortly after i posted this on here because i was thinking the same thing. It is hard to make the original flow any better because it has a vacuum line attached to it.

Its not that big of a deal........ i agree having the air intake tube come threw the fenderwell may not be the best idea but its a great start.. maybe cap that off so no water gets in there (you have a k&n so it doesnt matter nealy as much as it would with a paepr filter....) Maybe route your ram air up to a hood scoop, or bring it out the front in behind the grill like the stock one but use a bigger tube. the PVC may be ghetto but im sure it works just fine. the filter is there to keep the dust out, IT wont "suck up" anything as theres not A vaccume attached to the other end, some dirt may make its way into the engine compartment but thats normal... dust even makes its way intot he stock intake when you follow someone on a dusty road... so even if it is in the dustiest Place on the truck that would only mean u have to clean it more often, it wont **** up your engine. You should see some of the filters i pul out of the gravel trucks, you drop them and u end up with a 4'' thick pile of fine dust on the ground. Just ignore the yahoo's here, and just keep an eye on the filter, if u notice it gets very wet in the rain, id change the intake to the hood or snorkel ect, and check/clean the filter more often. Very creative. :icon_thumby:

yeah i was thinking about turning the tube around it will still get air flow but the water will not be able to get in.

Sorry man but I'm not digging it either. Whats wrong with the original? It IS a cold air intake.
